Toronto Wireless Community Network Nodes

Map of Nodes

Offsite Link to Map of Current Nodes The central resource for mapping TWCN nodes (Wireless Network Access Points) is PersonalTelco's Wireless Node Mapping Database. All TWCN participants are asked to register their nodes there, but are free to add them to any other node listing sites they desire.

For a complete list of all Toronto Wireless Community Network nodes in the Greater Toronto Area, please see our node listings on PersonalTelco.net.

Want to get up and running as a TWCN Wireless Network Access Point (node)?

There are quite a few node listing sites out there. PersonalTelco's aside, there's also the Global Access Wireless Database (GAWD), and the Netstubler Map. We've used PersonalTelco's because GAWD doesn't seem as frequently updated, as in-depth, or as easy to use, and Netstumbler doesn't accurately show Toronto. Additionally, our map is made up of nodes placed by volunteers, not simply from scans of unprotected 802.11b networks.
